Through research, racing, and training with Rick Swenson, a 5-time Iditarod Champion, JR has developed a deep understanding of canine performance. With a lifelong dedication to sled dog racing, JR has achieved remarkable success, including victories in prestigious races like the Copper Dog 150 in 2022. He meticulously selects and nurtures his sled dogs, emphasizing their health and overall well-being. JR has also explored alternative medicine, learning from Young Living founder Gary Young to use Essential Oils for sled dogs. Drawing from a decade of experience, he ensures his dogs are in optimal health. Outside of racing, JR cherishes time with his family—wife Anna, daughter Sara, and son Eli.
